Wilderness Systems, Perception and Wavesport, more new models for 2011

While southwest BC continues to get hammered with snow most people's thoughts of outdoor adventures are of mountains and enjoying some white fluffy stuff. But we here at WCK find ourselves buried under piles of snow and BOATS.

The pile of 90 new kayaks, delivered between snow storms.

With more lines and models of canoe and kayaks than ever, we continue to receive shipments of new product for the 2011 season. Manufactures have come out with more new designs for 2011 and our list of exciting new models continues to grow.

This week we received a mountain of boats from Confluence Water Sports. With a few new recreational kayaks from Perception and some updates to current boats there are lots of new options and features for recreational kayaks.

Perception updated their already popular Prodigy 10 with a new and improved seat, with more adjustability and comfort than before. A rear hatch and bulkhead have been added for dry storage and safety in the event of a capsize.

Wilderness Systems has expanded their hugely popular fishing/recreational boat the Commander 12'. The Commander was a favorite amongst the fishing crowd and paddlers who were looking for a stable comfortable boat to take the kids or dog out on the water. For 2011 the Commander will come in a 14' length offering greater stability, higher capacity and more speed and tracking. Now you can bring the dog and the kid! The Commander 14 will be offered in an angler package as well as with an optional rudder.

Possibly the most exciting new addition to the WCK flotilla (at least for me) is the highly anticipated Project X from Wavesport. Wavesport doesn't come out with as many new boats as other whitewater companies but when they do they come out big. The Project X is no exception to that, we had boats sold before they got here. The X has some super hot lines to it and has an 'ocean surf boat' look. The reviews have all been phenomenal and a quick google search will yield an endless supply of videos and pics of the new Project X. Bring on the spring snow melt, I can't wait to try this boat out on some real water.

The stern of the Project X is ultra short to make throwing the newest freestyle moves just a little bit easier.
