The only thing we love more than making great canoes here at Clipper is getting feed back that people love paddling them as much as we love making them.

Check out this link sent to us by a group of happy Clipper owners "christening" their newest Clipper into the fleet.

Thanks for the great review guys, and may you enjoy many more days on the water in your new Clipper Canoe!

New paddles, PFD's and more!!

There is no shortage of new boats this year at WCK. To compliment all these great new models we've ordered in some new exciting gear too.

This year we have some new PFD's, paddles, footwear, dry-suits and more new stuff arriving every week. Here are some of the hot new accessories, available now, to make your time on the water that much more enjoyable.

These colorful new Feelfree Paddles come in four colors and three lengths, 220cm, 230cm, and 240cm. We will be stocking them in both Fiberglass shafts ($99.99) and Aluminum Shafts ($69.00). The aluminum paddles are a great value for recreational paddlers, schools and camps. The Fiber Glass paddles are suited for light touring, day trips, recreational paddling and everything in between.

The Teva Gnarkosi is also new for us this year. These new water shoes have draining ports for quick drying and Teva's legendary Spider Rubber to make traction in those slippery situations a non issue. Best of all, they look more like skate shoes, so you can go right from the river or lake to the pub, bonus! We are stocking both men's and women's Gnarkosi's.

The new Drifter and BetSEA from Stohlquist have been redesigned for 2011. With a new "Wrapture Design" and built in fleece hand warmers along with the cool new graphics that are sure to make this remake of the already classic BetSEA and Drifters as popular as their predecessors.

This year we've got some brand new Select Paddles whitewater blades. These blades come on bent or straight shafts and are offered in many different constructions from Fiberglass, Carbon/Kevlar to straight Carbon. I have been using a bent shaft lately for creeking and play boating and am really impressed with the quality and feel of this paddle.

Select Paddles also offers a few unique options like the adjustable ferrule that makes their white water blades a 2 piece, handy for travelling or fitting into a boat. This ferrule option also allows paddlers to set any feather or offset angle they wish as well as change the length up to 5cm on the bent shafts and 10cm on the straight shafts. We should have these paddles in time for the Vancouver Kayak Festival at the end of the month.

This year we also brought in some Dry Suits from NRS. NRS has been outfitting whitewater paddlers for decades and their price point dry-suits will keep you warm and dry, even if you are paddling on a budget.

We have lots more exciting new gear still coming, so check back to see what else is new for 2011.
